The country has a serious regulation of the gaming industry sector, especially online games

iGaming has also been dealt with — a ban on card games and casino games has been introduced. Such games are now subject to licensing.

The decree introduces a number of restrictions, one of which concerns the use of real money for in-game transactions, as well as virtual items. Virtual items, units and prize points can no longer be exchanged for real money, and any exchanges between players are prohibited.

Gaming companies, server providers and telecommunications companies now have obligations to implement measures to protect minors. It must be guaranteed that children will not be exposed to harmful content.

All games available in Vietnam must now be labeled accordingly, and cross-border app stores are required to block or remove games that do not meet the country's approval criteria. Any violations will result in administrative fines and content blocking.
